Medicare Regulation 42 CFR 485.717

Since the Medicare regulation 42 CFR 485.717 was implemented, rehabilitation agencies have been challenged to change the way they do business. The regulation requires that all rehabilitation agencies make available social and/or vocational services to all patients. These services must be provided by licensed and qualified social services personnel. This added service may or may not be something that the rehabilitation agencies have the ability to offer.
