Kathleen Beauchesne,
President of SWRS, has the experience and qualifications necessary
to manage
a project with the scope and complexity of providing
social work services to rehab patients nationwide. Ms. Beauchesne, a
licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-C), has led the assessment of social
work services for 99 rehabilitation agency offices in the mid-Atlantic
region since February 2006. Since May 2006, Ms. Beauchesne has read
and reviewed
over 7,000 social service screening questionnaires completed by rehab
patients. She has provided information, assessed and referred over 145
patients to resources to assist them with their personal and work related
problems.
As Director of the Office of WORKlife Programs, the Faculty and Staff
Assistance Program (FASAP), and the Student Assistance Program at the
Johns Hopkins Institutions for 20 years, Ms. Beauchesne designed, developed,
and directed all operations of employee assistance and WORKlife programs,
serving 40,000 employees at the Johns Hopkins Institutions. As part of
her responsibilities at Hopkins, she screened and credentialed licensed
social workers and psychologists and developed the eldercare care services
program and support groups for employees caring for ill or elderly relatives.
In this role, she directed and supervised the clinical work of 5 licensed
clinical social workers, 4 doctoral psychologists, 1 geriatric care manager,
and 1 licensed professional counselor. In addition, she led the development
of the FASAP/WORKlife Call Center, the MILESTONEST™ Eldercare Resource
Database, the FASAP/WORKlife Resource Database and the 2006 revision
of the TEAMS management information system. She understands the scope
and complexity of managing the small and large-scale, complex social
work assistance programs that are needed by rehab agencies.
Ms. Beauchesne is the recipient of numerous awards, including the National
President’s Award from the Employee Assistance Professional Association
and the Annual Officer Award from the board of directors of International
Employee Assistance Professionals in Education. Her professional associations
include service as a board member and Human Resources Officer of the
Maryland Committee for Children and co-chair of the Committee on Work
and Family for the Employee Assistance Professional Association.
Ms. Beauchesne holds a doctorate in Social Welfare Policy from the University
of Pennsylvania, a Master’s of Business Administration in Finance
from the University of Baltimore; and a Master’s in Social Work
from the University of Illinois.
